Today I went to Gracepoint church. It was huge, the pastor was fun and message was great, and everyone was so friendly.
The message was about unconditional love, how God loves us no matter what. That is what we need in our relationships. It's not, "I love you because you're smart, kind, whatever." I realized that telling all my friends that they were awesome because of this or that was not how it should be. I love my friends because, simply, they are my friends. It's not because of what they do but simply because I love them. Yeah, yeah, mushy stuff, I know. But that's how it is. That is unconditional love.
But I still felt that the service was a bit cinematic. Maybe after being at my small close knit church for so long, having a full band, lights, and videos was a bit much. I don't know how joining the fellowship here with the Bible study meetings and social events is going to coincide with having a job, Circle K, and potentially the archery club is going to work but I'm just going to go and see what happens.
So far, I think this is how I'll prioritize this::
- Work. I'll need a job to stay in school.
- Circle K / Koinoinia-Small Groups
- Archery
Well then, wish me luck!
Love ya~
