Packing Tape Should Not Be Used For Painful Practical Jokes

Geez, talk about a mess. It's packing time for college! One week left and I'm already neck-deep in a card-board castle. I feel like I'm packing my life away in little brown contraptions, trying to figure out what's important to me. I can almost see my past four to seven years pass through my eyes as I rummage through the dark corners of my closets and drawers.
My friend suggested I get friends, siblings, and family to help, but I want to do this myself. I must. I half-imagined that when packing time would actually come, all I would need would be two boxes and a backpack. How impossible that seems now. Part of me wishes I could just dump out my room in a box and take it with me, but the other part is excited about starting anew, with only my most needed possessions, in a new city, a new school, and hopefully, with a new me.

A few of the stuff I will be taking with me::
  • art supplies - paints, brushes, glue gun, etc.
  • piano sheet music
  • books
  • scarfs, hats, ties
  • cds
  • shoes, shirts, pants
  • dress outfit
  • vacuum, iron, lamp
  • laptop
  • yearbook
  • Bible
  • stuffed animals
  • self.
